How Does Looping Work?
The RC-600 is a 6-track loop station with 4 instrument inputs and a midi input. When you press one of the track's record switches, it starts recording everything you play. When you hit the record switch again, it will immediately play back what you just recorded as a loop that goes on indefinitely until you stop it. You can add more loops on top of that first loop, this is called overdubbing. When you combine 6 tracks, you can loop every instrument for every verse and chorus to any song.
You don't have to loop 5 instruments. There are basic loopers out there that are 1 track with 1 instrument input for someone that may want to practice guitar soloing over a groove that they looped. For the novice musician, a simple looper can help you practice your instrument. It doesn't have to be a guitar, you can loop any instrument in the world.
